2009 : Lasse Marhaug

This is how I remember 2009:

Start working part-time as musical curator at the Henie Onstad Art Centre, booking and organizing 20+ concerts throughout the year, plus digitizing the vast archive. Release Incapacitants "Box Is Stupid" 10xCD box-set on Pica Disk. Organize All Ears festival (+ Borbetomagus tour of Norway). Tour of Japan together with the Puma-guys. Collab with T.Mikawa at Soup. Collab with Merzbow and Jim O’Rourke at SuperDeluxe. Recording with Masaya Nakahara. Put together ”Ear Era” special edition box-set. Visit Hong Kong, play solo and collab with Dickson Dee. Tour of Mexico with Jazkamer. Part of Sunn0))) line-up in Mexico City. Ronnie Sundin publishes a comic book which features me. Tour with Frode Gjerstad’s Circulasione Totale Orchestra. Work with Jon Wesseltoft in Cock of Corpse (guitar-noise) and Tongues Of Mount Meru (drone). In May part of the "Vildanden" theatre performace in Bergen which causes a scandal. Collab with John Wiese in Poland. Record new LP with DEL. Start recording and planning the Jazkamer 2010 Monthly Series. Release Will Guthrie, Maja Ratkje, Government Alpha (4xCD box) and Oren Ambarchi on Pica Disk. During solo performance cut my hand so much I have to go the doctor. Curating Bergen Støyfest – the first noise festival in Norway. Performing with Philip Best as part of Consumer Electronics. Short tour of Finland with Testicle Hazard. Also studio-session in Helsinki. Start Prisma Records together with Lars Mørch Finborud. First releases are Ingar Zach/Andreas Meland, Stian Skagen and Kåre Kolberg. Various solo and Jazkamer performances throughout the year. Studio session with Mark Durgan. Finish solo recordings for 4xtape-box. Also plenty of graphic design work (books, catalogues and record covers mostly). Even by my standards 2009 was pretty busy. But all good.
