A curious year of superb listening, starting with an auditory overload care of 70+ hours of recorded material gathered in the Amazon as part of Mamori Art Lab's residency. Countless enjoyable concerts and festivals - Grouper, Koner/Tietchens, Perlonex, Nikasaya, Tenniscoats, Ben Frost, Fennesz/Lillevan, Deaf Centre/Claudio Sinatti, The Sight Below/Simon Scott and too many more to mention. Wonderful projects with Chris Watson (to whom I am consistently indebted for his excellent advice), Circa, Makino Takashi, Craig Walsh and En Masse. Wonderful meals cooked by the likes of David Toop, Ueno Takashi and John Chantler and numerous other culinary delights found pre and post-concerts in Russia, Serbia, Japan, Greece and Germany.
